Welcome to Women in Business.World, a community built on connection, collaboration, and growth. After nearly a decade in a vibrant women’s networking group, we, the directors of Women in Business.World, experienced firsthand the life-changing impact that happens when women in business come together with genuine support. As meetings grew smaller and discussions became less relevant, we found ourselves attending for one reason: the people. We had built something far greater than a contact list. We had formed a circle of trust. These were not just professional connections. They were friends, mentors, and allies. Together, we shared more than business strategies; we shared life.
Conversations That Go Beyond Business
We supported one another while balancing careers, raising children, and managing home responsibilities. Our conversations grew to include returning to work after having a baby, navigating perimenopause and menopause, protecting mental health, and finding balance in a busy world. It reminded us of a time when women would gather in community to share wisdom, experience, and encouragement.

Phillippa Roil-Glendenning
Founding & Managing Shareholder/Director
Phillippa is a dedicated Business Advisor at Thryv, with a passion for empowering women and businesses. With more than 20 years in sales and marketing, Phillippa has a wealth of business knowledge to share, alongside a life story shaped by diverse experiences; from a childhood spent overseas, being a single mother to building a blended family of five, and from big-city business circles to community life in the Wairarapa.
Driven by her commitment to supporting women, Phillippa founded Women in Business.World to address the unique needs of women outside major cities and to provide the regular meetups and additional support that were lacking in existing groups.

Living on a lifestyle block in rural Wairarapa with my husband and two teens, I've built a career around documenting life's most meaningful moments through wedding and family portrait photography.
Beyond the lens, I'm passionate about community and connection. As a self employed photographer, I know the challenges and rewards of running a business, and I'm committed to supporting other women in business - sharing what I've learned along the way to encourage and empower others to grow.
