Women in Business .World began from my own lived experience — years spent inside women’s networking groups that were once vibrant, supportive, and full of connection. Over time, I watched those spaces shrink. Meetings became smaller, conversations felt less relevant, and the heart of what made those gatherings special began to fade.
But one thing never changed: the women.
I kept attending because of the relationships — the trust, the honesty, the laughter, the shared challenges, and the deep sense of sisterhood that formed when women showed up for one another. These weren’t just professional contacts. They were mentors, friends, and allies. We weren’t just talking business; we were talking life.
Conversations That Truly Matter
As a woman juggling business, motherhood, blended family life, career shifts, and wellbeing, I realised how much we needed spaces where real conversations could happen. Conversations about returning to work after having a baby. Navigating perimenopause and menopause. Protecting mental health. Balancing ambition with exhaustion. Managing relationships, households, and careers all at once.
It reminded me of a time when women gathered in community — sharing wisdom, experience, and encouragement without judgement or pressure.
Why I Created Women in Business .World
Out of this need for genuine connection, I founded Women in Business.World as a place where women could:

Founder & Director
I’m Phillippa, the founder and sole owner of Women in Business.World — a community built from my belief that women thrive when they’re connected, supported, and seen in every stage of life.
My career has spanned business development, mentoring, regional engagement, and supporting organisations to grow through strategic thinking and genuine relationship‑building. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with women across New Zealand, listening to their challenges, celebrating their wins, and recognising how deeply we all benefit from spaces that feel real, inclusive, and grounded in everyday life.
Women in Business.World was born from that understanding. After experiencing networking groups that had lost their spark, I wanted to create something different — a place where women could show up as themselves, have meaningful conversations, learn practical skills, and build connections that go far beyond business cards.
As a leader, I’m driven by authenticity, community, and the belief that women deserve environments where they can grow without pressure or pretence. I design every workshop, event, and retreat with intention, ensuring they reflect what women actually need: confidence, clarity, connection, and a supportive network that feels like home.
My mission is simple — to help women lead, thrive, and unite, both in business and in life.
